Yes, HumHigh is completely free. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, no advertising and no account required to play. The full song catalog, all seven game modes and multiplayer for up to twelve players are available without paying or registering.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. HumHigh is built mobile-first and runs in iOS Safari 15 and newer, Android Chrome, Firefox and Edge. Rounds use 100dvh layouts with 44 pixel tap targets, no horizontal scroll, and audio that starts on the first tap. You can also install it to the home screen as a PWA.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. RALLY is asynchronous 1-on-1: record a hum, send a link, your friend guesses from four options. PARTY is local multiplayer for two to twelve people, each on their own phone, with one host sharing a QR code. Neither mode requires anyone to download an app.
How long does a round take?
A full REWIND game is about 90 seconds across five clips. BLUR is about 70 seconds across six covers. PITCH is about 30 seconds to hum one song. RALLY and PARTY scale with the group size, usually 5 to 15 minutes per session.
